Requirements for Temporary Residency
1) Valid Passport
2) Visa for the required cases (Canadians/USA require VISA on arrival, for this procedure, UK do not require VISA to enter but will pay a fee for not having the VISA for requesting Residency) or can pay an official fine to overvcome the need of Visa
3) Visa verification done at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
4) Entrance stamp to the country
5) Birth certificate (apostille or legalized) in case of your wife appostilled copy of Naturalization Certificate
6) Civil situation certificate (apostille or legalized)
7) National or Federal Police Report from the country of origin or the country of residency for the last 3 years. Only applicable to people 14 or above. (Apostille or legalized)
8) Interpol Certificate 14 or above (Document done in Paraguay)
9) Police Records for Foreigners granted by National Police, 14 or above. (Document done in Paraguay)
10) Sworn Declaration to respect Paraguayan Constitution and Paraguayan laws given before Notary. (Document done in Paraguay)
11) Sworn Declaration before the Migration Office of the activity that the applicant will develop in the Paraguayan Territory, (Document done in Paraguay)
12) Migration Office fee for the referred procedure
13) All the other requirements established by law and its regulations
Once all the above documents are gathered, and the application is filed at Migration Office, the referred government branch will take at least 2 months to get the application approved.
Cedula
Once a Temporary Residency is approved, the applicant has to request the Paraguayan Cedula, within 180 days after the Temporary Residency is Granted.

Police Records for Foreigners granted by National Police, 14 or above. (Document done in Paraguay)
Life and Residency Certificate issued by Paraguayan Police
Carnet for Foreign Residents in Paraguay, issued by Paraguayan National Police.
Radication Certificate issued by National Migration Office.
Once all the referred documents are issued and put together, we file the cedula request and after a minimum of 15 days, the cedula is granted.
During the two-year term, you should develop ties to the country, after this term is completed, the applicant will be able to request Permanent Residency.
